Cardboard Free Delivery
Great Northern Larder are proud to the the first Irish e-commerce retailer to attempt to move to Zero Waste Shipping. Our plastic totes can be used up to 10,000 times before being recycled. They also reduce breakages and parcel loss.
How it Works

Step 1
Choose the "Zero Waste Shipping" Option at checkout. The cost will be the regular shipping cost plus a deposit of €28 for a strong plastic box and a return UPS shipping label.

Step 2
Receive the goods and check everything is ok. Check that the Zero Waste Shipping box is not damaged. Please take some photos if it is damaged - ignore dirt and scratches.

Step 3
You will find a return label for UPS in the box with your goods. Remove the orginal label and stick on the new return label (or make sure the new label is covering the old one).

Step 4
If you are returning any products place them in the box and seal it using the security clip provided. If you are not returning any products then please return the security clip. You can still make returns by the regular returns process.

Step 5
Book a pick-up with UPS by calling 01 524 5446, then choose the "Schedule a driver to collect" option from the menu. The automated agent will ask for a 6 digit UPS account number. It is 6W4114. When the automated agent asks you to confirm the address as "Rampark, Jenkinstown" say "No". You will now be transferred to a live agent who will take your address and book a collection.

Step 6
Leave the box out for collection. If you can please take a quick photo of the label and tracking number for reference (but we do have a record if required, so this is not essential). Within 2 - 3 days of receipt we will refund your €28 to your original payment method. You are not responsible for boxes damaged or lost on the return journey.
Important Information
All boxes to be returned must be booked in for pickup with UPS within 14 days of delivery. Any box not returned within 21 days with be considered as retained by the customer and the deposit will be forfeited. If you have any problems booking a return please just contact us and we will do it.
In some cases we will use traditional cardboard packaging even if you choose Zero Waste Shipping. We may not have the right size plastic box to hand or your order may not be suited to the plastic boxes.
Although we want to stop using packaging, unfortunately we still have to pad the Zero Waste Shipping box with filler material to avoid breakages. We already reuse a lot of packaging material from our suppliers, and if you return any filler to us in the box we will reuse it again if possible!
A lot of the products we sell are in manufacturers cardboard boxes for safety and security. We can't do much about that. Feel free to return them if you want us to try and reuse them or recycle them in our commercial recycling bin.
If you purchase regularly and you want to leave the €28 on your account please let us know. We can do so.
